That number of classes really blows my mind (1300+) and makes me proud! I also feel so lucky my body cooperates and is able to exercise this way. When I first joined right after Covid I was in horrible shape and knew it was going to take me a while to feel good when exercising. The fabulous and motivating instructors, the variety of classes offered and the supportive community makes all the difference.
Starting my day with movement has been a positive change and without it I don’t have the same productivity and energy level. Going to 5:30 am classes work the best for my schedule and remaining consistent. I’m a better human being when I sweat it out before the sun comes up!
I did not picture myself loving to exercise at this age but I honestly do. I’ve always been an active person: played sports through high school, membership to a gym or place to work out, but it was always cardio focused. If someone would have told me how much yoga, lifting weights and cycling would become a part of my strength and fitness lifestyle, I never would have believed it. GVO offers and encourages all kinds of exercise which is one of the things I value so much.
Starting the day with my usual routine helps me survive those long challenging days. Not just survive, but thrive! The focus on myself, encouragement from the instructors and a good playlist gets me right back on track.
Yep, this is definitely a feeling I’ve had. I guess I would say to start small and schedule your workouts like you would any other appointments. I also think the early morning is the way to go- less things to get in the way and having to cancel.
