One of my favorite memories from when the classes were at the Dance Academy was when my youngest son Daniel was with me for Kristen's barre class (this happened many times). He was in his stroller and I used the handle as a barre in the back of class.😂 A mom's gotta do what a mom's gotta do! He was only 6 months old or so. He was such a trooper! The ladies loved him! It didn't last long though! Before we knew it, I was setting up a baby octagon for him to crawl around in when he got too active for the stroller. He LOVED it!
I would have to say the "C" word....COVID! If it weren't for the staff coming up with creative ways to continue to provide in-person classes, I'm not sure I would have survived the whole ordeal! Those few hours of personal interactions per week really kept my mind and body in shape! The ability for the community to come together and create a safe space during all of that uncertainty was incredible.
I don't even know how to choose my favorite type of GVO class right now. That's like asking me which child is my favorite! Each class provides support for a different part of me, so there's no way to choose! Barre is the perfect way to start my week since I don't have time to come on the weekends due to kids' sports schedules. All of the heavy weight classes have really helped me level up my tone and definition after a surgery in spring of '25 sent my body spiraling in ways I couldn't have imagined. Cardio gives me that boost of endorphins I need mid-week to keep going and the hot fusion classes make me slow down and get centered for the weekend. The variety every single day is extremely valuable to me.

I love being outside and watching my kids play the sports they love! I also love spending the day by the pool and relaxing with a good book!
I can't live without outside dining! It's my FAVORITE thing to do in the summer. It's so cold for SO LONG around here, I try to spend as much time outside as possible!
I'm taking my dream vacation this fall with my husband! We're celebrating our 20 year wedding anniversary traveling Italy! We're starting in Venice, spending a few days in Rome, then wrapping up by relaxing on the Amalfi Coast! We've never been so suggestions are welcome!
I'm so proud of the 3 boys ( 11, 13, and 15) my husband and I are raising. It's not always been easy and we may have spent the better part of 13 years breaking up fights and cleaning up messes, but our boys are confident, smart, but most importantly, really great humans. They are, by-far, my biggest and best accomplishment.
